Pure Phase live video (controllerism + turntablism)

Hi,

Myself and comrade James Kelly recorded a live session at the studio which some people might enjoy watching...it's a mixture of live electronics using a custom built Reaktor patch in standalone mode controlled by me and the turntable is in the hands of James Kelly...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiQSlsSSSZw (it does end abrubtly but this is due to the 10minute limit from youtube :| )

The session is typical of what the live show consists of, very choppy, hyper edits...

(ordinarily the scratch tool (vinyl) would consist of a specially pressed vinyl, but serato has helped in coming up with the order in which is best for sounds to be placed on the vinyl) enjoy :-)

For the music without the trigger happiness...
First track: Depleted Uranium: Forthcoming on Filthy Digital
Second track: Rising up like fuck you towers: forthcoming on Cymbalism Recordings

the rest available in our mp3 store (see sig)

The audio track (as mp3) can be downloaded here if anyone would like a copy...

Thanks...the video was about an extra couple of minutes but we had to chop a perfectly good ending :-( we're not gonna try to get those last bits online though, i think this will do.

cheers...been performing like this for a few years, but it's not always been dubstep and mostly i played solo (see our myspace video page for breakcore/jungle live) the live patch has taken this long to get perfect programming/control-wise, and honestly it's been less boring to do now it's a collab...having the deck to cut in vocals and sounds makes it double the fun to do...

nice to see that others dig it.

:o Excellent live set ! Really love those instajungle - like edits you put on your tracks. The ring mod is also well employed, although I never like it, I found your use it in a good musical way.

Sounds sick, DLing the mp3 right now !
