Speakers for home use

I know it's not production related, but at least it concerns hardware ;-) Could anyone recommend speakers for home use that really do the job for dubstep, d&b, detroit techno etc.? Something that makes me feel the bass in the stomach but also gives you clear mids and tops... oh and nothing ridiculously expensive please, it's a crisis after all (max. 1500 Euro/GBP)

Thanks!

How big is the room?

I'd go for speakers by B&W or KEF matched with a nice powerful amp.

For a room that size you aren't going to be able to afford those speakers.

You could probably get a pair of cerwin vegas or some Wharfdales.

For that sort of money...............I'd buy monitors for home use!

you'll be able to hear everything perfectly, no matter what the genre.

You can get a pair of these quite cheap

Get a nice power amp (about 400wts) and they will be enough for home use.

Lol just seen the room size, that's quite big room for a house man.

Probably some Mackie 824's and then spend the rest treating the room........

tons of better options than those :q: things......

in that price range, you could buy a pair of Adam A7s, a pair of Dynaudio BM6s, or a pair of HS80m + sub. All of which shit on the 824s. AND you've still got cash left over to treat the room.
