Will sort you out a 320 for the Slew Dem Remix. Runner was the first tune I made, so going to go back and rework it a bit but will send that over once its done. Got a little way to go on wake up call so I'll let you know when its finished. Cheers for the feedback.

I like the first track, a lot! Totally feelin the minimalist glitchy vibe! You tunes sound really loud! (in a good way)

any tips on production or mastering you want to share with a hungry artist just starting out? I

think a couple vocal samples would make the first tracks sound even better.......

320 would be ill!

Yeh, I know what you mean, don't have time to sample hunt at the moment.

I just focus on EQ'ing each part properly, try and keep it quite level on the analyser, and make sure you EQ out the unused frequencies as not to take up the space in the mix. Then compress and sidechain to keep everything sounding loud and punchy. Limiters also work wonders.

I was also taught a little trick that by EQ'ing out around 800hz, you can get a lot better quality sound. Something to do with Mobiles and other low quality sound equipment and focusing around 800hz making it sound worse to the ear.

Also, PM Sent.

hum.. Right on. I have a hard time getting things sounding loud with compression an limiting, without distorting the signal. What plug-in's an program are you using to produce?

I'm using the Waves Bundle, mainly the REQ 6, C1 Compressor, L2 Limiter, and PAZ Analyser. It's possible that you are not EQ'ing properly, as things will not sound loud if too much is in the frequency range, then pushing it louder will only distort it. Don't let your kick's take up too much range, and if they do sidechain to allow them the space. Even high-hats will have some unused low range frequencies. Focus on the analyser to see if there are any spikes, these can cause distortion from increasing the volume. If you need anything explained in detail I'll see what I can do.
