Synth slipping out of time.

Yes i have searched damnit!

Couldn't find what i want to know though.

I have a amd Athlon 64 bit 3500+, 2200 MHz pc
with 1792 mb memory (weird i know but it works haha)

Mindprint trio usb (nice stable soundcard)
And work with nuendo 3.2.

Now my problem is the following:

When i make a wobble bass with massive or albino or whatever synth, every time i stop and press play again the wobble is out of sync. I use synced rates but also unsynced. I have to hit stop & play a few times for the wobble to play the way i had it drawn.

I know about latency settings and all that witch isn't the problem here... :?

So i thought ok, well let's just freeze it then. But the problem is, the damn synth will freeze itself with the wrong sync most of the time too!!

This is really driving me nuts.. I'm planning on buying a quad core pretty soon and hope that will solve this problem.

Anyone got suggestions for now, so can make my damn wobbles without the sync fucking up??

It's probably starting at a different part of the wave in your LFO,

Bounce a copy down of it and then just trim the start to where you want it to be

set the LFO-phase to 1, if possible

I use only hardware, so don't know about softshit. But phase or lfo-start is the key.

Sometimes it is called 'LFO key on reset', 'LFO trig' or 'keysync'

You can also use lfo fade in, to hide the wobble on the first 8th
good luck

Now that's the whole problem.. Freezing AND bouncing is just random 2. Indeed the wave starts later..
I don't want to bounce down 1 wave 50 times to hopefully have the good one...

Ow reading your post again and notice the trimming part.. yeah could help.. pretty annoying though..

Thanx Parameter and Brisance,

but i already did that.. Same shit..
It's not that i'm inexperienced, i've been producing for like 10 years. Just lately really started with lfo rates etc.

I really think it's my daw system...

On the LFO turn retrigger on, this relaunches the LFO each time a new midi note is played, however I’ve never managed to make this work in Z3ta (though it is a cracked copy I have so probably deservedly so).

edit - just noticed its allready been said
