SATURDAY April 4 Dubstep, Bruk and Techno Blowout

Mala(Digital Mysticz,DMZUK)

Digital Mystikz are dubstep pioneers - producers, DJs, label owners and promoters, they unleash a dense concentration of dubwise good vibrations. Mala began DMZ with his longtime friend Coki in South London, taking a shared love of jungle, dub, roots reggae, garage and house to form their own distinct style of music. The DMZ bi-monthly club night at The Mass in Brixton has become the central night for the dubstep scene, if not its spiritual centre. The pair are not only responsible for the most important rave of the scene but, alongside Loefah, own the flagship label DMZ. Now on its eleventh release, it has become a figurehead imprint. Mala’s incendiary solo DJ performances have brought the DMZ bass weight meditation around the globe. In 2008 he headlined the BBC Radio 1 showcase at Sonar as well as slots at a host of other festivals and a tour of Japan.

Simbad(Raw Fusion)

Simbad is a French producer/DJ based in east London, his matchless approach to djing and production has seen him collaborate with some of the most respected players in the house, soul and broken scenes. Releasing music under simbad, marathon men, loose ensemble, les barons, mowgly, twitch among a few others in labels as Raw Fusion, Freerange, Bitasuite to name a few. His night Je ne sais quoi is a a fixture in the east London music scene that keeps listeners up to date with his music and from his cohorts.
