Kode9 Current Big Tunes

Kode 9 played down here in Brighton recently,but I didnt manage to reach as Im old boy and just had a sprog blah blah blah. Dieing to know what sort of stuff hes playing right now though

Yeah I would expect him to play alot of stuff off his label but wondered if he played full on funky a la Marcus Nasty and if he was still mixing dubstep in with it. Im surprised hes playing Donaeos Party Hard or was it the dub?
Still not sure what I think of Black Sun though I loved that BAd tune he did with ld.

Dubstep doesn't need loyalty. It's not a fragile little creature that needs to be nurtured — at its centre, it's a big, ugly and increasingly popular monster that is gorging itself into immobility. The mainstream of dubstep is becoming such an abortion that it's really very little nothing to do with anything I'm interested in musically, apart from tempo...

Just read that interviewagain that he did with The Bug in Decembers Plan B mag. He was bigging up Circle and slating people who send him "Cockstep" tracks hoping to be signed.
I think the pollywannacracka rant was a bit harsh,like quidz said hes got a point,but theres still loads of good dubstep coming out imo.

To be fair, that quote seems a bit out of context as he doesn't seem to be slaggin off all dubstep. When I've heard him recently, he's playing alot of Mala tunes and the hyperdub artists.

No, just the big ugly monster gorging itself into immobility in the centre, which begs the question. Who exactly occupies the centre ?...the mainstream.
To me, its the skreams, the bengas, the caspas, the ruskos, the malas, and the cokis who I would consider the mainstream occupying the centre but if someone could abort the errors of my judgment I'd be ever sooooo grateful. Or maybe its a form of self loathing with hyperdub being at the centre of the dubstep panopticon.
Regarding sonic warfare. Abortion is a killing word that may well in fremen have triggered a weirding module from dune to annihilate.
