and coincidentally my first post ever....
I hail from texas where i have made electronica, dnb, industrial, noise and metal. My music has been heading this direction for some time on its own but the great Mundo turned me on to it officially.

Being new to dubstep, I would dig some opinions and suggestions. Help out the noob, you know you want to. This is my first track and it is a work in progress. Its getting there though.

I am from Dallas. I like Houston though. I have had some really good times there. My old outfit Ropelab did some live PAs down there.

Any more feedback before the link expires and I post a new track? Intro and outro ok? levels ok, bass check?

Very interesting:)
Definitely from an industrial background.
A bit busy for my taste.
The lower mids/kick and the bass are kind of muddy.
The panning is nice.
Keep at it man... I can see the Vex'd lovers digging your style
when it gets a bit more refined.

Thanks, that is awesome feedback.
My achillies heel is too many virtual tracks for sure. I just need to remember to settle down and that less is more.

I just learned the other day to split off the bass from the rest of the mix and cut the low end out of the mix for all tracks except the bass. I was thinking about trying that trick on this track but now I am going to for sure.

Thanks!
Don

Hi

Interesting you're producing at 69bpm instead of 135-140 :)

Checking your track now:

The bass is cool. Sounds a bit overcrowded.. may want to minimalise it a little more, cut the pads out a for a while. You should concentrate on a bass orientated track because your synths sound cool man. Phatten the drums up and make a track based on your bass synths and you're rollin. ;)

take it ez!
