Neil Kymatik (Soul Motive) - RIP

My friend Olly Dub One just spoke to Chris Inperspective and passed on some tragic news about Neil. I was only speaking to him the other night on aim about random obscure artists and him quoting some 'ghetto' language that he didnt quite understand off the new artwork for the Soul Motives forthcoming release.
This is kinda surreal and Im not sure what to make of it all. Although I had never had the pleasure to meet him face to face, he seemed like a wonderful and charming person, with an excellent ear for music and some wicked tunes.
My condolences go out to his familly and loved ones.

I was debating posting something about this but I'm glad that you did. Neil was the first person who'd contacted me about "Break your Heart," and while we never met in person, through some wickedly-funny back-and-forth moments over phone and IM i got to know him and Pete. Superisk contacted me this morning with the bad news and i was just gutted.
Any conversation with Neil was always a positive, entertaining, funny, music-filled and enriching moment. Every bit of heart i have goes out to the family and friends of his Bristol that loved him and miss him.
bless
Dave

Horrible news. Was leaping around with him at Dubloaded just the other day. Such a nice guy and wicked DJ to boot.
He has left a tall, skinny hole in the Bristol dubstep scene.

i'm devastated. He was one of my closest friends in bristol and one of the warmest, welcoming people i've ever met. Bristol won't be the same without him.
he is a true legend and was my pleasure to have known him, dj with him and promote with him. Still can't really accept it.
As i've said elsewhere my thoughts go out to his Family, Emma and all that has the pleasure to met such a vibrant person.
missing you already Neil.

I can't put into words how upset i am by the news of Neil's passing. We had a drunken chat and then i said good bye to him 4:00am yesterday morning after walking home from dubloaded. I still can't believe that is the last conversation we will ever have. If you were lucky enough to know Neil personally there will be no shortage of amazing, brilliant and hilarious memories. If you didn't then you should remember him as one of the most talented DJs in the bristol dubstep scene.

This is crazy. I don't know what to say.
Only met Neil for the first time a couple of weeks ago, but as a regular on the Bristol circuit I caught many of his sets over the years. He was an important part of the scene down here from it's birth.
I was not a close friend by any means, but this news has deeply saddened me. I think it's a testiment to how much of a good bloke he was that I'd only met him once, but yet I feel really shocked and upset by this. He was kind, friendly, supportive and he seemed to always look on the bright side.
It's just so surreal. When we met we both said that it was "good to put a face to the name", and I am masively grateful that I was able to do this before his sudden passing.
Big up Neil.

This news has upset me a lot, the last time I saw Neil was at the Black Swan for AFM and he left the same impression on me as the only other 2 times I'd met him before that - a genuine, warm, positive bloke! The 1st time I met him was at St Paul's Carnival which he smashed before it got rained off and we ended up at Tao Bar taking over their decks for a B2B session with Ramadanman & TRG - He played this tune twice that day and I managed to get a copy of it not long after (but then lost it, but will get another) and it will always remind me of him.
