I'm trying to figure out how I can export all of the samples and settings used in FL Studio 7 into one folder which I can then transfer onto another PC and open without any missing files etc. I know in Logic you can just hit 'save project as' or something, anybody know how to do this in Fruity?

export as zipped loop package, then open the .zip file with FL on the other computer..

This works fine on my PC but it doesn't seem to save the Directwave samples in the folder? I'm thinking it might not open properly on a different PC...

When you save as a zip it only saves the project data and samples, not plugins. As long as your other PC has all the same plugins installed, it should work.

OK, but it doesn't save the samples used in the Directwave sampler. I know it won't save the actual plug-in itslef, but since it's included in the XXL edition of Fruity I thought it might save the samples used in it in the project folder? I just need to clarify cos I need to wipe my hard drive so there's no going back once it's done.

I am not sure if there is a difference between using File > Save As > Zipped Loop File and File > Export > Zipped Loop Package. I always save my tunes as zips, but every once in awhile my zips won't have all the samples. This isn't related to Directwave samples either. It's almost always samples I just dragged and dropped onto the step sequencer or on the playlist. I usually have multiple copies saved, so I can always copy the missing files over, but if you're formatting your HDD, it's best to double check that you aren't missing any files in the zip. Save/export to zips and then open and make sure everything is there.

Like stated, you won't have any plugins, so if you're using a VST like Massive for your bass, you're going to need to reinstall it. By design, the zips should have all samples used and the project file, but from experience and for whatever reason, it doesn't always have everything.
