She's sitting on loads of great material.
Will be doing a mix soon with some of it in.
Expect new CDEPs in blackmarket soon.

Cooly G has some serious skills. Played on the same bill as her last month, one of the best DJ sets I've heard in a while. The Hyperdub plate is fackin good too.

absolutely my favourite producer right now. straddles dubstep and house almost perfectly - really subtle productions with so much swing. perfect hyperdub material really.

With regards to the dubstep influence on Cooly G, I'm not 100% convinced. Sounds like more of a techno/tech-house influence to me. The only dubstep it sounds a bit like is Peverelist, Appleblim and, possibly, Headhunter who are themselves heavily indebted to techno (amongst other sounds).
I'm really feeling her sound but it just sounds like much more of a funky/techno crossover to me rather than any explicit dubstep influence. Thats only reinforced in my head by the inclusion of tracks like Ame - Rej on that Producer's House mix.

true that - speaking as someone who has zero appreciation/knowledge of vast amounts of techno/tech-house, i'll take yr word for it. when i said dubstep i was really thinking of peverelist, perhaps ramadanman, bits of those kinds of sounds, so yep.
i think actually the techiness is what i really like about her tunes - just as much as i love ikonika for her kind of loose/all over the shopness...

cooly's influenced by dubstep. she sees it at part of her sound.
but not explicit to the extent that x y z is an influence.
mix looks tasty rachel
you coming to producers house 2?
