this.

I forget the first Dub tune I heard, it was some King Tubby dubs. The Dubstep, I honestly can't remember when it was that I heard it first, but I do remember Slaughter Mob being an early influence on me. First time I made it official that "Dubstep is what I'm going to be hooked on as a base of operations" was Vex'd - Lion VIP.

Otherwise, I'd been listening to Garage for years... never really associated the word Dubstep with an actual Genre, so much as a subgenre of various genre's until just recently when Dubstep itself started to divide into Sub Genre's. Once we had more than just 1-2 styles of Dubstep, that's when I changed my rhetoric to Dubstep being officially a genre all it's own.

Skream - Smiley Face

I said it was boring cuz i heard it on shitty speakers, then my buddy played it on his nice system followed by Hijack & Skream - babylon timewarp. I was very interested and got into it abit. But it wasnt until i heard skream do a 2 hour set on a 80,000 watt system at shambhala that i was hooked

maan.. I really can't remember,
I first heard Dubstep in Ayia Nappa in 2006..
But had no idea I had, if that makes sense?.
Like I never followed up on it.
Then just through going to parties at my brothers mates house I got into it more and more, straight away I got searching, and jumped on these forums.

But I think the first big tunes for me were Calenda - Forever, Digi Mystikz - Haunted
then Plastician - Japan & Missing.. Then Earlybird - Arcade
then Stenchman - Ur Pathetic & What The Future Holds.
Then many many many many more. lol.
I purchased all the dubstep allstar cd's and would just rinse them for days.. volumes 3, 4 & 5 we're/still are persi's
man I remember Andy Havok I think it was? He had some absolute dirt.. then just dissapeared. Kazou's stuff was big too.
I could go on and on.

It was either Toasty - "The Knowledge", or Boxcutter - "Brood"; I can't remember. To this day they're still hard tracks to top.
