BAD NEWS:
We are sad to announce that that Subheavy Falmouth, 30th May with Kromestar has been cancelled. This is due to ongoing noise complaints from local residents to the environmental health department. They have issued Falmouth Rugby Club with a final warning, so until they have completed essential soundproofing work there will be no loud parties at the club. Anyone with a ticket for the event can get a full refund from the point of purchase.
In the mean time we are on the lookout for new venues, anywhere in Cornwall or Devon, and are appealing to you lot for any suggestions - this could be anything from actual clubs, rugby clubs, village halls, barns, fields, quarries etc basically anywhere soundproof and / or with no neighbours to upset so if any of you have any bright ideas please get in touch!

I heard about this yesterday... Acid Bath have moved from the Rugby Club onto the Boat Parties down in Fal, which are pretty fresh!
Could hook up with us Ghetto Blaster boys and sort something; We've had a night in Truro that was LIVE as fu-k, and we're working on keeping it regular (but making sure it doesn't clash with Subheavy, obviously)..
But word, might be worth joining forces or something.. Truro is pretty central in Cornwall, innit..
Sucks about the complaints, though

massive shame, gutted about this... Some of the raves over the past year were so sick, generally really good vibes from that place. And I'm guessing Arthur isn't gunna install that expensive soundproofing anytime in the near future?
Although it's great to hear Necta you're still keen to find another home for subheavy dubstep in cornwall. Sounds like putting it off-shore might offer some hope.

it IS gutting, but come on, we had some damn good nights there...
massive bigups to Arthur, Necta & crew for bringing Subheavy down to Kernow in the first place!
fingers crossed for a new venue. in the mean time, a pilgrimage to Subheavy Plymouth is the best bet I reckon

You're right on the money mate... Shame I can't make the 29th as I'm coming back from holiday to falmouth on the 30th. Coki/Youngsta/Kromestar... That line up is some weapons-grade business! Next one I'm there deff. Yeah big ups Necta and all involved!

@ Necta Selecta
Rehab used to run at The Eclipse Club in Truro.
Dunno if/when they stopped, but that place was pretty sick.

The Eclipse has been sold, rebought, renamed The Office, and painted white.
its got disco balls and all types of coloured lights, and its not even a gay bar any more!
Rehab in Truro died for a year or two, relocated to Penzance, and then died again there too.
Arthur from the rugby club just rang up to confirm Hyperblazing is cancelled in june, and i quote ''...i can't see this music going anywhere soon...with a bit of luck we should be hyper-blazing and dub-stepping again before long...'' lovesit

@ neka:
Needs a massive lineup to fill it but yeah, we know about Tremough. Looking for something a bit more undiscovered - maybe not a traditional venue but a space we could get a temporary license for.
@comatoes:
as far as i know arthur's putting his full weight behind lobbying the directors of the club to make the investment in expensive soundproofing as soon as possible - hopefully it will do the job and we'll be back in there. My worry is it will take a while and we may not be able to go as loud as before anyway.
@millsdem
as i recall there was a plan to hook with you ghetto blaster boys but siq:note never got in contact then set up the first one on the night before Subheavy in March. Where are you thinking anyway ? Surely you're already filling Bar 200 ?

by millsdem
Yeah Nath (siq) only mentioned it to me recently, ha.
200 is easy to fill yeah, but it's always something to think about/do for just locals on the 1s and 2s as well.. before a place can be found for bigger things..
I'll email him whilst I am at work tomorrow, and see what he's been playing at!

Shows how long it is since I spent any real time in Kernow.
Must return to my homeland more often
