anyone else watch this? One word. Fucked. There was some right dodgy stuff going on in that documentary, not sure if anyone noticed the part where he's talking to some nonce and the nonces councillor, and theyre talking about the guys past offences and the paedo and his councillor keep catching eachothers eyes and smirking to eachother, or the other guy who had that painting of some teenage boy lying on a bed with his arse in the air....not cool

A very interesting watch, fair do's to him, i dont think i'd be able to have kept such a civil tongue given the situation he was in.

I caught this on Iplayer after seeing a few of his other documentaries, theres something about Louis that I like.
The program he did about the West Boro Baptist Church a few years ago was really good. The most hated family in America, well worth a watch.

Yeah, watched this on iPlayer today. Fucking nuts, but I thought he got some interesting points out of it. Like what the fuck do you do with paedophiles after they've served their sentences?

It seems they put them in weird child-free quasi paedo centres where some of them actually get better but fuckloads just sit around and talk about not being a paedophile whilst fucking obviously still being a paedophile because they're hanging pictures of underage looking boys on their walls.

Mental. Respect to Louis Theroux for all his stuff. Apparently he's a bit of a dick, but he's a fucking good TV maker.

Yeah I watched it and I couldn't help to think a few things:

1) It wasn't really in depth and was more shock entertainment than a documentary.

2) The Adams Family thing is now my ring tone.

3) They should combine the facility into a home for "bad boys".

4) There was no difference between the inmates in their assessment, there seemed to be no segregation between te mentally ill and the "evil" for want of a better word.

5) Ministry or the best industrial band in the world.

6) Having worked with nonces - some can be 'cured'.

7) They're still people. Never forget that.

Judging from the way he said problem solved, I think he is fully aware of the outcome of placing them with the general population.

haha yeah pretty much. not trying to come off as deliberately un-pc or hardcore or anything. i honestly just think these people are scum and would have absolutely no problem with anything untoward happening to them

fuck spending $400,000,000 on a complex and $200,000 a year to keep them

Yeah, I thought that. But I guess most of what they've been doing for the last however many years is psychological councilling and talking about their crimes... if that was all I'd done for 20 years I expect I'd probably be fairly good at talking about it.

I bet they'd be shit if they tried to talk about the life and works of Coki, though.

Keith allen also spent some time with the same church, lets just say he wasn't quite as polite as Louis  Heres a link if anyone wants to see it.

It's in five parts, well worth a watch and pretty funny in places.
It amazes me what some people can believe in and at the same time totally contradict themseleves.

Those two statements are rather contradictory. You call them 'nonces' and then that they should be seen as 'people'.

Paedophilia is a sexual fetish, just a particularly unpleasant one. It doesn't mean that they are not intelligent people, they are just attracted to children, as socially despicable as that may be, and any that perpetuate the sexual exploitation of minors deserve all they get.

It has to be said that many of the images in the media aren't helpful and the gradual sexualisation of children in mainstream outlets over the years should be looked at. Just look at Britney when her first main video had her cavorting around in a skimpy school uniform when she was 15/16 and all the Miley Cyrus stuff as well.
