Logic users, need some gear advise

Hey guys, haven't been here very long, but had a quick question.
I currently produce in Logic Pro (v8.0.2) and am about to purchase some new gear for the studio...
- M-Audio ProjectMix I/O (for mixing)
Novation Remote Zero SL (for control over plugins)
I'm not so much concerned on people's opinions of their physical aspects, but more so on their experiences w/ either device in Logic.
Thanks in advance and Big Up on the forums

The Project Mix is fantastic.
You're probably going to need this:

Beyond that, it does what it does. It handles mixing well, and "feels" good. And there's nothing like the sight/ sound of your sliders snapping into place when you open a project.

... guess we all have our moments.
thanks for the nfo and linkage, im really excited to get a proper mixing surface as up until now i've mostly been doing things all by hand

haven't used 'em but once you've got 'em setup, save the logic settings-- logic is notorious for purging it's midi mapping and key comands after a crash or hard restart.

True. I've had this happen with my Axiom-25, never knew why. But the Project Mix's "Logic-settings" are
inside it, and must be loaded each session anyway (by holding Aux 3 while you turn it on) so its technically crash-proof in a round about way.

I don't have any hardware, Ive been producing now since my join date here and taking my time with it, I mix internally with logic though that novation controller does look quite interesting.
I haven't found I've needed any hardware yet, I've been concentrating on synthesis rather than my mixing skills though, now summers here I think it's time to BASH logic

This explains so much, has been driving me crazy! Thanks for the posts, so far some really good pointers

I know what you mean, I spent about 6-8mo just learning the interface and environment.
The thing w/ hardware is I like having something to touch, also automation by hand is a bitch and 1/2 (or maybe I'm just lazy).
I posted a pic of my setup as of yet

The remote zero works well with logic, just dont expect to be twiddling and fading in the first ten minutes, I had to read the manual frot to back and look up some extra stuff about interfacing with logic bfore I was away, its got brilliant features and automaps to your plug ins but ya gotta know how it does this and how to work within the automap templates before ya start havin any fun, maybe if your just new to the game, have a look at somethin a little more straight forward but its still well worth the effort of gettin to know how it works cos its a wicked toy and has soo much potential

I'd like to think of myself as an expert knob twiddler... I don't mind messing w/ something to get it to work, so long as its possible.
I am going into this not expecting the automaps to work at all, the number one reason for the novation is the size and layout of the controls.
I have heard of a few devices, like the bcr3000 which do not play nice w/ logic and for whatever reason their functionality was impaired.
I'm mostly just making sure no one has any horror stories about trying to match either of these devices to Logic. Would suck to findout after making the purchase...
