1. turn bass enhancer off
2. listen to other tracks through your speakers so you know what they sound like with the enhancer off
3. ???
4. profit

I have this monitors cause the room I produce in is a box room and the Roland DS-30a's I bought a few months before were just way to powerful for my room...

So yeah anyways - I keep the bass and treble knobs in the middle - tried out on other systems and my mixes pretty much sound the same on all of them.

It might be worth while to just tweak the bass knob to the right a little as they only go down to 70hz - you won't feel much sub without it.. and just mix bass on headphones

They don't over compensate to much - if anything I'd say the treble boost so much more and makes it seem brighter than it is.. then the bass makes it seem deeper than it is - as long as you look visually as well as listen to your mix you should be fine even with the bass knob turn all the way up..
