One year after the memorable 2nd birthday headlined by Kode9 in 2008, Ruffage returns with another massive birthday shindig on the 3rd June at Wire.
Peverelist returns to the North for only his second performance in Leeds, and his second performance at Ruffage. His productions are peerless in their effortless originality, attracting support not only from the dubstep scene but also from house and techno heads such as Shed, Ricardo Villalobos and Pole. He also runs the Punch Drunk record label, famed for its uncompromisingly focused support of the legendary Bristol scene, and for being one of the outlets crucial to the increasing awareness of dubstep in Europe.
We are delighted to welcome LD to Leeds for his Ruffage debut. Mastering engineer by day at Transition Studios in London, the hype around his productions has been rising steadily for the past year, with appearances on Hyperdub (home of Burial), Ringo Records and 2nd Drop. He's renowned for his energetic and percussive DJing style, so expect a set that will make you get on your feet and wiggle your toes.
Our headliners are supported by Ruffage residents Ramadanman, Ben UFO and Signus. As co founders of the respected Hessle Audio imprint, Ramadanman and Ben UFO will be playing a back to back set packed with exclusive forthcoming music from across the spectrum of dance music. Signus has made a name for himself as one of the best DJs in the North however in true Ruffage style he will be straying from the norm and playing a set of music that influences his Dubstep selection. Expect to hear anything from Hip Hop, Techno & Soul to RnB, Reggae & House from every corner of the globe
