Shall I pay £2,000 rent in pound coins?

I might be a genius for devising this plan, or it's a bit shit, you tell me.
From when I moved in last year my landlord and her husband have been both complete pricks. Even though i've kicked off about it enough times, she randomly turns up at the house 'to check that everything is okay' even though by law shes gotta give 24 hours notice in writing. Other times include me and my ex being in bed on a sunday morning, hearing the doorbell ring at like 9am and think fuck that thats not getting answered, and her husband lets himself in so i jump up and ask him what he thinks hes doing and he said 'just seeing if you were gonna be here later' and the time i put a basket behind my door when i left for work and found it moved back when i came home - obvious that she'd been in my room whilst i was away. aah theres so many things i could write about here but its not the point of this.
for our last term of rent, me and my ex need to pay about £2,000 which we both have, but are quite reluctant to give cause the landlord is a prick so ive come up with a plan. i thought stamps were legal tender, so i was gonna go to a fuck off post office and by 2 g's worth of stamps, but apparently only £1 coins can be used for an unlimited amount of money (1p's can only be used up to 20p) so im well up for going down the bank and getting 2,000 £1 coins and leaving them at the house for her to collect. anything unlawful with this? i want it to be as straight as possible so we can get our deposits back too. ill post pics
also, is 2,000 £ coins actually that much? i remember seeing $1 million that fitted in a briefcase which looks a bit poncey.
if all else fails, bricks and windows init.

Sounds like it would be a pretty minor inconvenience for them if they were all in one place - I'd suggest maybe scattering each pound round the flat, not hidden but just put them everywhere... Would atleast make it known that you were pissed off instead of the possibility you collected pound coins...

Unless my math is off..
One of your British moon pennies weighs 3.56 grams
2,000 pounds (my freedom loving American keyboard doesn't have your moon symbol on it) would be 200,000 pennies.
So you're looking at
200,000 * 3.56 = 712,000 grams or 712 kilograms of pennies.
That seems off, but I don't see you putting that much weight in pennies in a briefcase. That being said, do it.

haha that comes out to be 1,569 pounds of pennies.

yeah man back in the day when we used to rack pokemon cards (see
badman) we'd leave bare coins on the till for them to count whilst pocketing stacks full of them
so 2,000 pound coins is gonna weigh 3/4 of a tonne? i got a car so might be okay.

no that's if you were paying in pennies...
in pound coins it'd be 19 kilos by my calculations..
although i think it'd be hilarious.. just because it's illegal it doesn't mean they won't hold onto your deposit and make it extremely difficult for you to get it back...

Pay them with the in the original standard Zimbabwe dollars (ie, before the new dollars they've started using)
£1 is equal to 510334000000000000000 of them.

My question is how the hell does your gaff rack up £2000 a month? You got a fucking jacuzzi in the garden or something?

Make sure you pay them MINUS your deposit... if they want to withold it they can write and justify it... too many take it as a matter of course and give you some phony reason like carpet cleaning they'd be due to do anyway.
Doubt the pound coins would cause too much hassle, but it might at least make a point and make them think twice about how they act with the next occupants?
My mate Kev had a problem with this at a place in Hayes... Fucking stnuc burst into his BATHROOM while a mate of ours was showering (it was the day after Kev's birthday, we'd had a party round mine and they'd got back to his that morning)... The landlord accused him of subletting to his mate and threatened to evict him.
Honestly, some landlords are fucking stnuc.

Innit. One time, I was sitting on the floor playing my computer games, when my landord literally breaks the door in and chucks the washing I had left in the washing machine for, like 10 minutes, straight at my face, knocking the boiling hot coffee I had on my lap straight out my hand and straight onto my bare, exposed thighs. After seeing this, she then started yelling obsceneties at me for spilling it on the floor, and seeing that she'd broke the door, further enabled the destruction of it by trying to lift it from it's hinges with as much force as she had. This, in turn, fucked up the whole door frame, and whilst realizing she was making the problem worse, she embarrassingly picked up some of the washing she threw at me and threw it out my bedroom window. She then went downstairs, walked the dog, and fell asleep.
Yes, my mum is a
bit insane.

Funny you should say that, because I'm on the lookout for a place at the minute.
