HEADHUNTER:::
Headhunter exploded onto the scene in 2006, with lots of his early tunes produced alongside legendary drum n bass producer Tech Itch.

Soon after 2 releases were in circulation, Tempa, Dubstep’s pioneering label, made the link to sign him exclusively.

With 2 Ep's released on Tempa and a string of remixes, the winter of 2008 saw Headhunter release his long anticipated debut album on the same label entitled “Nomad” which was widely considered as one of the Dubstep’s albums of the year for 2008.

Headhunter has long occupied his own niche within the Dubstep scene, sitting comfortably between the ultra heavy bass styles of his Tempa label mates, Skream and Benga, and the deeper Berlin / Detroit influenced minimal / techno sounds. This infused sound has earned Headhunter a global reputation. With names such as Villalobos and Luciano playing Headhunter tracks in their sets, and collaborations with other Dubstep producers becoming more common, the fusion looks like a sound that will be following them over to the white island of Ibiza this summer.

KOMONAZMUK:::
After H.E.N.C.H label-owner Jakes smashed up the dance @ MNSTR last month, TEKTONIK presents one of H.E.N.C.H’s hottest producers / signings: The critically acclaimed Komonazmuk.

Komonazmuk released 'Bad Apple' which displays perfectly what is so exciting about the dubstep movement right now. Combining elements that wouldn't be out of place in a minimal tech track and adding subtle flourishes that will strike a chord with Hench's growing army of fans.

Renowned for his skipping beats, echoed atmospherics and cinematic edge Komonazmuk is clearly a dangerous man. Expect glitch, wobble, bass and straight up H.E.N.C.H business.

ROB SPARX:::
An excellent Double Bass, Piano and Guitar player, Rob Sparx has been writing and DJing dance music since the late 90s. Robs first release in Jan 2004, "Rob the Builder - Can you fix it", was the start of a wave of drum n bass releases on many leading labels such as DJ SS’s Formation Records and Twisted Individual’s Grid Recordings.

In 2007, having experimented with all kinds of dance music, Rob Sparx decided to concentrate mainly on dubstep which was a good decision because he’s bloody good at it! With releases on top label’s such as Audio Freaks and Z-Audio and airplay from DJs like Rusko, Skream, Zane Lowe and even Laurent Garnier, Rob Sparx has fully established himself as a key figure in the ever-growing Dubstep scene.

Rob Sparx is set be one of the biggest names for 2009 with his forthcoming album entitled “Trooper” set to cause an almighty stir when it hits the shops in July.

Expect energetic throbs, alleviating drops and reassuring wobble from Dubstep’s finest purveyor of filth – Rob Sparx…

Should be boosting the already exisitng Funktion1 system with few extra pins for this event.

Didn't seem to have any complaints after Bar9 smashed up the dance @ last event either....

As for Market Bar not being a club they where voted in the top three clubs @ Nottingham awards, have had Toddla T, Randall, Bar9, Nero, Micky Finn, JJ, Ed Rush the list goes on.

Fresh out of death, Happy go lucky, Tektonik, Junkyard, Bigger than barry lots of nights doing well @ the venue so bit puzzled by that comment...

As said most of nights usually boost or tweak system to suit vibe... only standard student nights that might sound weak...

Entitled 2 your opinion anyway....

I think you're talking about Brownes over the road mate.

Nero played at the last Tektonik @ Market Bar but he and Jakes also played @ Brownes recently.
