I was thinking about getting a book on electronic music productions techniques, or like a Book with a CD or something.
Is there any good ones out there? I'm looking for something really in depth, something that I will actually learn something from?

I was considering going with a subscription to CM Mag, I've been buying it regularly for the past few months and got some good tips out of it.

Check out the 'Related Resources' section of the production forum bible. ---> http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.p ... 97&start=0

The books & magazines section will be useful to you no doubt! ;)

The production book I rate most is 'Computer Music Tutorial' by Curtis Roads published by MIT Press. It explains digital audio and the workings of many audio related concepts and processes in clear language.

Topics cover all the common production effects as well as theory on the principles of sound and A/D D/A conversions.

Well no its great but I found the jargon in most books I checked to be too distracting - I want someone else to read it and tell me stuff so I looked into a DVD of a book on mixing by a guy called Dave Gibson - nothing could have prepared me for the outcome!

This DVD is a very informative beginners guide to mixing - but it was made 'in a comedy style' and hut hmm I use the term loosely!

Its so bad in fact I have decided it was GENIUS! Check it if you dare ...
