donaeo's albums out soon, gonna be absolutely brilliant i reckon (supposed to be first week of june)
he just put up a quick album sampler on his facebook, you probably won't have any of the tunes unless you listen to mista jam pretty obsessively

yeah the person who actually did the original riddim is genius. still big tune. check the heatwave refix ..etc.
will be interesting to see if this album has any staying power, i guess it'll suprise me like all the other releases.

no idea what people's problem is with this vocal. lyric to me is a nice double meaning, on the one hand some african tribal chief with an actual stick vs. some gangster. its a deep tune. whereas the lyrics on 'frontline' on the other hand... jeez

This is sounding so heavy anticipating this one, some real deep rollers on that sampler.
Re: African Warrior I like the vocal, I just think it's great fun.

what is the original behind party hard? I'm a big fan. I've heard it played a few times and keep thinking its something which its clearly not.

this is what annoys me a bit about this genre, just using someone elses already put out beat, Euphoniks version is far superior, if anything donaeo just spoils a perfectly good SA remix with his prepostreous jabberings. same with migraine skank.

lyric to me is a nice double meaning, on the one hand some african tribal chief with an actual stick vs. some gangster
vs. some lame innuendo. I kind of like the whole energy of it, but the actual lyrics are duff

fair enuf, no-one's saying funky as a genre has hit any poetic heights. i spose club lyrics never will tho, altho garage had it better with its slogan-y, chopped up stuff that meant nothing at all

^ but i liked the way garage producers did that
using the vocals as another sound rather than a vocal
infact i often prefer it

"lame innuendo"
Never even considered that but then I've never listened too intently to the lyrics past the hook.
