New Independent Label Bass Punch Records
Releases Debut Compilation Future Klassiks

(Uppsala, Sweden) May 15, 2009 – Bass Punch Records was conceived by V. Reiman after receiving large amounts of unreleased material from a number of talented unsigned producers around the world. The producers were requesting to have their music played during the weekly Dubsteppers Delight show, hosted on the long running internet radio site Sensimedia (www.sensimedia.net). Bass Punch Records’ aim is to release Dubstep/sub-low music in both digital and vinyl formats from upcoming and better known artists with something incomparable and dynamic to bring to the record case. The vision is to deliver quality over quantity, and to work with artists who are not afraid to push the limits.

“There was a large amount of unheard or heavily underrated talent with tracks that hadn’t been signed for a very long time, plus there’s an intimidating dubplate culture undermining this genre,” said Mr. Reiman describing his decision to start the label despite hard times affecting the music business. “After running Dubsteppers Delight on Sensimedia for approximately 2 years I’ve had a share of emails from listeners asking where they could buy the music from, an easy task when asking for material that is released. The majority of the times it was about an unsigned and upcoming artist who hadn’t got any of their material out yet.

Bass Punch Records is already home to a number of talented artists and producers. The current Bass Punch Records roster consists of Chimpo, MarchMellow, Substep Infrabass, Genetic.Krew, Bombaman, Migrant, Level 67, Rakoon, Afterdark, DZ, Twisted, Ill Boding, CEK, Rdubz, Manygances, Quad Control, Rocla, Skevist, Vision and Syanide.

The label has already lined up its first release, Future Klassiks, an 18 track promotional showcase compilation containing a mixture of established, upcoming and fresh producers demonstrating the vastness of the Dubstep genre. Just to name a very few; Future Klassiks combines the lush and dreamy landscapes of Vision (UK), the Garage reminiscent vibes of Mancunian producer Chimpo (UK), and the merciless and aggressive sounds of Substep Infrabass (Poland), who could scare away Hellraiser’s Pinhead at any time.
