One that needs your concentration. I watched it the day I got back from Ibiza, completely mashed off my face, so found it a little difficult to follow at times!

Depp is quality.

great great movie.
never saw johnny depp that wicked before, pirates makes a good second.
i got a copy too, about 6 euros, so check some shops before you find yourself screwedover by the fancy "RECOMMENDATION" stickers or whatnot.

also don't try to understand everything the first time
great movie to watch under influence from just about any type of drug(including alcohol), but first get some experience with the harder/psychedelical drugs ;)

enjoy!

depp is so close to thompson its disturbing.

big fan of thompson and have the few docu's on him. the mannerisms are down to a tee. superb acting.

try and find Breakfast with Hunter. its on most torrent sites and it was made as Fear n Loathing was going thru production.

I think Bill Murray doesn't ever really play anyone but Bill Murray anyway.

brilliant film. hillarious and dark at the same time. I'd not read the book before seeing it. Oddly the guys I knew who had read the book prior to seeing the film hated it.

my fave bit is when they do the ether.

In my opinion, this is the best movie / book combo of all time. Read the book and it makes you want to see all the crazy shit in there, and then watch the movie and it makes compete sense.
