not fidget at all - proxy is savage savage electro - fidget is crookers, jack beats, stuff that doesn't really have any edge to it

maybe check out stuff by jokers of the scene, boy 8-bit, fake blood, diplo - you should find something you like in there - influences range from b'more, bassline, electro, hardcore and baile funk if that's your thing.

while occasionally bad ass... proxy isn't really fidget.. this might stem from the misunderstanding that 'fidget' refers to that signature out-of-tune bassline (portamento or pitch mod etc..).
most of what's being called fidget these days is just a lot of nonsense. stupid low out of tune basslines and really annoying vocal cut-ups. in my opinion fidget should have more of a chicago jack house feeling that most of the current productions are just missing entirely.
if you're looking for fidgety stuff on the minimal bass tip i recommend:
Oliver $, HiJack, Mowgli, Solo, and just about everything on Made to Play records owns.
Elite Force and Zodiac Cartel are my go-to guys for super hard jackin fidget bordering on techno.
Lee Mortimer and Clark Able are also two of my favorites.
If you stop at diplo, boy 8 bit, jack beats, switch, sinden, herve, etc... you're kind of only surface scratchin.
Notable labels:
Wearhouse, ESP, Jack Union, Made to Play, U & A, and Grand Petrol.

well yeah - if it's the same double dutch that made the pimp jackson is talking now remix then he should as it somes of the only fidgety stuff that's any good.
the rest sounds like the producers got halfway through a tune and left it

its kinda hard to define true fidget. switch is the best example. also, wongo, mightyfools, stupid fresh, dem slackers, and heavyfeet. crookers have gone more housey, and ac slater is heavy bass. the genre is kinda dying out (due to gross amounts of garbage phonies) but its still good to revisit some oldies.

Don't sleep on CONGOROCK! The guy is a fuckin musical genius, everything he touches becomes gold. His tunes are off the hook, you can love it or hate it, but its not the same-y things over and over again. He was the mastermind behind the *mocore band La Quiete and Raein also.
'Runark' has been an huge hit, check it if you like the 8bit-ish stuff
The remixes are baaaaad as well, lotsa wikkidness goin on

sort of speed garage / electro / oldschool hardcore / dubstep shit, which to me is basicly fidget right? They describe it better on the myspace.
