me and my friends have decided our "area" would be at a racetrack (prob thunderhill) which has relatively flat ground all around it and we could see them coming. and we could just mess around on the track all day too.

flat and low ground?? bad idea man - plus a racetrack is circular so they could surround you reeeeeeeeeeeal easy! also there are no buildings or anything!

My friends and I had this all worked out when I used to live near Bristol. There's a church with a fuck-off spire in a village my mate's parents live in... consecrated ground has to be a decent idea, plus you've got a decent sized vault for stashing weaponary and holy water everywhere just in case you get a wave of vampires coming through.

I need to revise the plans... commuting from Paddington to Nailsea & Backwell probably isn't the best thing to need to do when the undead are gunning for your brains.

I've never had a fire safety plan. I've had lots of zombie safety plans.

After reading world war Z .... i have given this a great deal of thought.

You don't wannabe anywhere near a large town or city as that would be like standing in the epicentre. Guns aren't that easy to find here (UK) and ammunition limited so your not going to be able to fight your way out if your surrounded by huge numbers.

So i reckon the best place to be is a large old castle... they are already placed in tactical positions. Easier to defend and choc full of old skool weapons that would still do the job.

The only problem would be food... if you could organise a large enough community you would have to initially raid cities for supplies. Eventually the goal would to be self sufficient . Living off the land while training the inhabitants to be Zombie Killers and teaching them a trade (carpentry plumbing etc.) so civilization could be rebuilt.

Thinking about the zombie holocaust is fun :)

yeah, then its always "are these Night of the Living Dead zombies? or 28 Days Later zombies?"

but then again, they arent actualy zombies in 28 Days Later... but no need to start an argument.

what weaponry would you take/find/use?

And I don't mean stumbling across some sort of Army base! Home sort of stuff only...

I personally would need just a crowbar, the damage i could inflict...

well if i could make it to my grandparents my grandpas got a few swords and plenty of tools... but if i was stuck at home.... all i really have is an aluminum baseball bat... and a couple hefty electric basses.

I live in Brighton so if worst came to the worst I think I'd go for the 'back to the sea' technique, at least they can't surround you.

NR: if they can run, we're all fucked

seriously, just leave it. otherwise this'll turn into 14 pages of luke's zombie survival plans and why everyone else's won't work.

personally i'll be going straight to the office. generators on the roof, airlocks to get into the building, every door's reinforced & needs a card swipe to open and they do jerk chicken in the canteen every thursday.

church, big heavy door (maybe a gate as well), and stone walls, no windows except high up
couple of 12 bore shotguns

ok that does sound like a pretty badass racetrack, whats everyone's thoughts on armoured cars and that?? could be like a mobile protection centre, you could get one of those ones with an inbuilt flamethrower and hatches you can shoot out of, petrol might be a bit of a problem though
