i've had a 3 channel one for over a year & it does the job. Don't think you need a particularly expensive one for at home, as long as it has the features you want

I would never buy anything made by that company, it is cheap rubbish that sounds terrible and will fail.

Alto is a good alternative to Behringer. Similar prices, better product.

uniformly terrible. bad sounding eq's, cheap components, no headroom before distortion.

if you are a DJ, a sound engineer, play in a band etc... and you value your sound and peoples' perception of your sound...

YOU SHOULD NOT BUY A BEHRINGER MIXER

take your shit seriously and spend the extra loot on a real mixer

never let friends buy anything by behringer....
it will fail the day your guarantee it voids its guarantee...
as my 16channel mixer did....
if you want to buy cheap and good buy mackie.

If you're after some decks don't waste your money on some belt drives.

Get some second hand technics from ebay - you'll thank me later I promise.

They go for a steal on ebay dude, have a good search round

Scrap those decks they will be utter shit.

The worst decks I would actually buy would be Numark TT200. They have relatively good torque and hold pitch well. The negatives are that the pitch slider is really loose so you can't get that accurate a pitch unless you have used them for a while. Records can stop/slow down the platter aswell unless you are VERY light handed.

To be honest I'd just go with technics 1200 or 1210 becuase they are what you will always be playing out on if you get there, plus if it turns out you don't like DJing, they hold their resale value so you will get your money back on them (which you won't on the numarks, and if you ever wanted to get rid of those Gemini's the best place would be the dustbin).

Trust me I never took the advice of "buy cheap buy twice" and I regret it now!

Also, am I the only person who is happy with their Behringer mixer? I've got a Eurorack 1204 mixing desk that I use for connecting my decks/speakers and computer together and occasionally recording guitar/vox and it works really well for what I need it for!
