'I' is one if not the best tracks he's ever done

Hahaha, I guess those are the original producers right? He didn't do anything production wise apart from put an odd buzzing sound on the bass lol but I think the vocal is great. Apart from Party Hard tho yeah I agree, "I" is his best, I haven't been keen on any of his other vocals...

I dont think he deserves credit for party hard, the tunes an instrumental/spoken and should be kept that way.
Same with Gallium, same with Dont Panic they dont need mediocre vocals or vocalists.

Although you yourself must admit that is by far a minority opinion? especially as concerns Party Hard...
More contention over DJ Gregory's joint but.

The majority opinion is nearly always the wrong opinion

Party hard is over catchy, and when drunk you might even see me getting down to it.
but in truth, he should never had jumped on that beat, noone should without permission from producers first, now because old egg head did, everybody else did..

even the grime/funky producers are getting pissed of with the likes of maxwell d and others jumping on there tracks, putting out mix cds and selling them. over libs..
karizma was cussing on facebook the pother night about it
saying the uk scene is fucked, full of bootleggers and artist using produced tracks an dgetting paid shit loads at pa's and the original producers get nish..
was over laughing.. oh and some grime website he said were bootlegging shit..

Sigh

But yo circle, I feel that. Like too many man jumping on Seasons as well, Lil Silva sounded pissed on that Ras Kwame show when he was talking about it. Swear all Maxwell D does is go on long about anything to do with phones as well.. (?).
Yeah and I heard a Karizma track with some next vocals on just yesterday, definitely not the vibe Karizma's obviously going for with his music so a pretty big parr by all counts. If someone jumps on Necessary Maddness there'll be trouble lol.

Not at all,the original is a known deep house tune, played by djs in many countries, donaeos version i doubt is well known or played outside england much. Gallium was big enough for defected to sign and use on their Miami ITH 2007.

so maybe a minority opinion on this forum, but.

Yeah I agree, I'm really talking about the target audience here, where it is, beyond all reasonable doubt, an anthem, enjoying a greater relative status than the original we own the night did within its respective scene.
Didn't know that about Gallium, interesting..

I actually first heard this on a Marcus show a couple of weeks ago and asked about it on the fuzzy logic thread, Jubscarz provided the link- I didn’t realise it was from last year not heard it at all fair play to those who were playing it from the get go..

As much as I like to drop to the heavier rawer end of house music when soulful is done like this I do rate it and enjoy dancing to it

Have to say this is a wicked track- and apart from the deeper house nights I fully expect the modern Soul scene to fully embrace this one (if they haven’t already!)

Groucho – This is a typical Norman tune where did he play this? Not heard him play house for quite some time

I would’nt mind checking nights where these kind of tracks are played as well as the rawer tunes like Yellowtail and Trauma-

btw Donaeo is in MK this Friday might check it..

@east village.

In all my years of watching Norman Jay dj'ng and listening to Giant 45 id say he supports UK soul music to the fullest. most of the sets ive seen him play over the last few (plan B, White House, westbury, clapham grand) Have all been house.

it depends on what kinda night hes at, but i prefer the funk/disco sets in honesty.
