those top players of experimental hip-hop all dropped their debut albums this year

which one is the best in your opinion (not taking into account their previous works)

hard to say for me, but I think I'll for now with Nosaj's DRIFT

ps. Hud Mo's dropped only EP that's why I'm not taking it into account

ps2. I'm also not counting RAS G's Brotha from anotha Planet, or POWELL's beat tape, cuz they 're digital only, we're talking here the real deal, cd or vinyl

bit of a weird distinction imo. please ammend title with these albums.

music is music

i buy all three formats depending on what the packaging is like / what im using them for (djing / listening / collecting)

Of all three of these guys...

Paul White's made the songs I enjoy the most out of this year, Dorian Concept is the one I really sort of get astonished by...

Nosaj... He's cool, but he doesn't really stick with me.

Of course, should Hudson drop an album this year, all bets are off.

Paul White. Although Ras G's would be the best if you included it.

no digital, cds & vinyls only.

also, mods, can you please add to the poll ONRA - "1.0.8" and 1000names - "Toys Room Combat", I forgot about those 2

find this poll a bit weird to be honest.. there's plenty more great albums this year not included (Lukid - Foma and Harmonic 313 - When Machines ... for example)

it's not about one vs another for me, all of these are worthwhile records.

i'm not keen on lining artists or releases up for competition but

Drift has a few tracks i go for repeat listens on, the rest seems like noodley filler to me
haven't bought Dorian Concept's album but have previewed it a few times online and to me he seems like someone i'd rather hear live than finely tuned in a studio
which leaves Paul White and i've listened to that album start to finish quite a few times and enjoy every last drop of it

Me neither for Ras G. He doesn't quite deliver for me.

But then again, I slept on Samiyam for QUITE a while. Only recently I've started to get into him; mostly stuff from the EP too, but still.
