Music, Colors, Endorphins,....its all a system of numbers working in time with each other. I don't hallucinate as much as I did when was younger, of course I haven't done psychedelics inna long time....those doors can only stay open for so long.

Deff man, this happens to me all of the time when I'm playin out or at home, it's really how I put together set's for the most part...Mainly it's the use of sound's within the track that trigger the colors for me, not like I see colors flyin around like some lsd trip, but it makes me think of it.
all about the colors!!

i don't hallucinate them or anything but always equate electronic music with superstructures / geometry

i dont 'see' colours with music, more 'feel' them. it's hard to explain, but moods have a definite spectral component. sad mournful tunes like burial's material are a lush deep purple, sinodub tunes like kode 9's 'subkon/fukkaz' are lush yellow or orange, whereas gnarly dark tunes like coki's 'haunted' are black or grey.

When I write music it often triggers visions of scenery, objects, characters, fictional events and personal experiences. My track titles are often a description of, or reference to what the track makes me see.
When I wrote "The Black Forest", it triggered imagery of walking along a path in a forest, a beautiful eerie place where the trees are somehow illuminated despite existing in a void of blackness.
But I think there is a simple explanation for this. It's called imagination.

i dont think everyones saying theyre actually seeing colours like theyre seeing their own hand infront of them, but its more like having a sense of colours or shapes which sum up the mood and vibe of the tune.
that might creep into your sight a bit especially if you've been smokin funk, but it the case of synesthesia youre brain is actually triggering colours into your field of vision

i think is rather normal
some people have their 'hearing' part of the brain connected with the 'seeing' part
i have it, my girlfriend have it and lot's of my friends too
