Portable Speakers for Summer

So, it's summer. People need music when theyre in grassy areas such as parks and the Downs (big up the Bristol heads!).

My mate's got one of these, and its fucking badass - it's got an ipod input, a minijack input and a mic input, and charges straight off the mains. still, £200.

My plan is to buy a 12V lead-acid battery and a charger, a little amp that will run off a 12V DC supply (they exist, i've seen them. actually if anyone knows where i can get one, tell me!) and just use some passive speakers from the bedroom.

so, lets talk about portable music

get the jbl ipod speakers that fold back into themselves - perfectly loud enough for a smoke/ boozer in the park and 4 triple a batteries will last you a full days tuneage! best 60 quid i ever spent and theyre even cheaper now

When I was a kid and still skateboarded, I always wanted this backpack made by Osiris.

It had detachable 10watt, water resistant speakers and a built in amp powered by AAA batteries.

I never saw one in person so it could sound like utter shit, but I always wanted one.
