Which GUI Design do you prefer?

Which skin do you find easier to look at and use?

If you prefer one skin over the other, is it the layout or the styling that does it for you?

Any feedback regarding what you like and dislike about both skins appreciated. :)

Number 1 allday. Is this a plugin you have made?

I'm interested to know what peoples tastes are regarding style and layout.

Because of its layout, I found the orginal skin difficult to use. A huge shame because it is one of the best freeware delay units in existance!

Regarding each skins style, neither are perfect. To me the first looks like it was made in Synthedit, the second skin which I made is too plain.

The plugin is available from here ---> http://www.rhythm-lab.com/plugin/twin_delay10.zip and is well worth checking out! :)

1 is better. 2 looks a bit flat, cheap and plasticy.

and i find 1 easier to look at just cos there's more contrast between background and controls so they kind of jump out a bit more

edit.

also, 1 looks like its analog and was made in the 60s from metal, 2 looks like its digital and was made in the 90s from plastic. i could conceivably find either one of these bits of equipment very useful, but one is clearly sexier.

2 looks cleaner to me cause of the numbers. The little arows help or connecting lines in the tempo sync L R. I hate playing with a new VST and not knowing where the shit is routed to.

2 is a more intuitive layout, but 1 has much nicer textures/general aesthetics.

#2 is uglier, but easier to follow, so #2. Plugins are for using/hearing, not looking at, so the skin with the most logical and easy to read interface is the best by default.

1 is much more aesthetically pleasing but 2 is far better laid out

They both look fine too me. I do kinda dig when it looks like real hardware but I find it clouds my judgment of how it really sounds.
