Anyone know what synth these guys used for the bassline?
Reminds me of the SFX in Transformers!

its tons and tons of processing, i made the wobble sound gritty as i could, then i sent it over to excision and he threw his special blend of distortion!

I don't play at the main part of level ever because they play top 40's down there, but every once in a while ill play at the upper level stage called "Elevation" hosted by Excision/Rottun every second Friday..

Well I usually make most of my stuff out of massive, I use alot of the Camel Audio stuff, some stock Logic plugins..

By processing I mean bounce out your bassline, and try diff types of distortion and filters and whatnot, also try deviding your bassline up into 3 parts, lows, mids, highs, that way you can have full control over each part of it

Duh, ya Elevation...Still used to it being Splashes/Higher ground. And too bad I wont be at Shambles this year...Exicisions set last year was the sickest shit.
Anyway have fun with the fires...again.

having a go trying to recreate my own version of the transformers sound in a track i'm making at the moment.
it comes in after the first 16 bars with a couple of them added in there (notably at 40 and 50 seconds), such a bastard to get right..

when u say this do u mean having three channels of the same bass line sound and midi pattern. but putting eq so that each channel represents a different spectrum (eq range)?

Yeh i'd also like to know how to split them, im using FL and in order to do that as far as i'm aware i have to duplicate the synth and have the two playing, haven't tried bouncing it to audio yet, maybe ill give that a go

what about sending the synth to 2 return channels and separating the ranges that way?

i do it that way:
i send my synth (or whatever i want to split) to insert 1, route the signal from insert 1 to inserts 2,3,4 and buss them together in insert 5. now you can control hi, mid and low seperately (inserts 2,3,4 after EQ or cut) and still control them all together by working at insert 5.
i hope you know what i mean

how do i pass it to the other busses?
