There are tons out there. Like anything you have to know how to use it. For an all in one type thing I have been using Ozone.

I made a preset that sorts my style out pretty well everytime. Good enough to hand out to dj's to play anyway. When I am done I always let the ME handle it.

The Sonnox stuff is great.

Elephant 3 is very good too.

Ozone has some good features.

UADfor eq & limiter, a good analog mastering compressor, proper treated room and some high-end monitors with about 10 years experience/practise and you should be fine.

Otherwise give the tracks to a good mastering engineer.

If your just trying to learn to master as a long-term skill I would read Bob Katz book - mastering audio-the art and the science.

Mastering is half science and haf art/skill. Remember

DONT SQUASH THE FUCK OUT OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!! A few db off the peeks yes, but not 10dbs It doesn't sound better, it sounds louder. and distorted. :D

Trust me, that book is good one. :)

Mastering your own music for playing out = fair enough
Mastering your own music for consumption = :o

And I'm not trolling or trying to make a sale here, just one of the reasons I went into the business really I feel needs propping p every now and again!

Elephant 3 is brilliant though!

Yeah I agree with the above post 100%

apart from the Ozone compressor, which is useless!

Oxford Dynamics is the ultimate multi processor for mastering imho.

Macc will probably swoop in so we geek out and scare everone off :)

forget mastering, work on your tune making.

fuck knows why you'd want to master your own shit in the first place. if your ear is good enough to tell what needs to be EQ'd out in the master wav - GO BACK TO THE TUNE AND DO IT.

just whack a limiter on your final wav render when you're 100% convinced that you can't make the tune any better in the sequencer.

Ozone is awesome, yeah.

I made also good experiences with Voxengo Sonic Finalizer. It's more decent and easier to handle.

Yep, exactly. Just do not waste your time with these mastering bundles. Make the best mixdown you can and that's enough. Use your time wisely;) On the other hand, if u wanna become a mastering engineer then carry on! :D

Earlier I also used these mastering plugins, multiband compressors etc, but now I realize what a waaste of time it was. This mastering stuff is just too complicated and now I use only a limiter if I wanna increase the volume by my self.
