Breakage is one of my favourite DnB producers. Clarendon is one of my favourite typefaces.

Coincidence? I think not.

breakage is one of my favourite producers full stop. i cant believe the general disinterest in his album this year, it passed by with such minor recognition outside of the leftfield dnb scene. a travesty

i cant access myspace, are these dnb/jungle tunes?

it's a new direction for breakage. unlike anything you've heard from him before.

i agree 100% with elgato

the lack of interest within the d&b scene over this album was possibly the final nail in the coffin of my 14 year long love affair with jungle.
what was one of the best albums in many years imo (dnb or otherwise.) sat on the shelf of my local record shop on white after its full release!!!!

this was one of the single events that turned me to dubstep,

wish myspace player wasnt such a wind up.

his setup is fucking ghetto there used to be a pic on myspace, its just a really shit old computer with some old school hifi speakers (apparently his dad's, but he says they've got a beautiful sound). and he still just uses tracker or whatever its called! nuts

aside from the use of back to basics equipment, i was very suprised that more wasnt made of the similarities between himself and burial. someone on here said burial sounded like photek if he'd grown up on garage, but to me he always sounded like breakage... the clear appreciation for what degradation of sound can do for a track, the use of electronically manipulated, soulful, mournful vocals, and most importantly an instinctive sense of sorrow and an apparent yearning for sounds now past

i think its a joke that more ppl inside AND outside of dnb haven't clocked how sick he his. he's got a sort of cult following, but he's nowhere near as big as he deserves to be

Interesting stuff, seems he's getting away from dnb a bit. I bought his album on vinyl the other day, haven't given it a proper listen yet but the standouts for me are ''The Shadows'' with SP (also featuring on ''The Lurgie'' with Breakage which is also sick) and ''Untitled Jungle''. Very much mood music, as are these two tunes.

I think I actually prefer his older more dub and jungle influenced stuff- So Vain, Ask Me, Staggered Dub etc. These tracks are good, but like some of the tracks on his album I don't feel they have much as much energy and drive as his older tunes.

Not slating him, one of the best producers around when he's in the mood.

its all about the first 4 tracks for me, lead me on and morning star in particular. also chump inc (which annoyingly isnt on the vinyl version) is unbelievable

i was really happy to see him moving away from his older style, because although it produced some of my favourite jungle tunes, i wanted to see him move on stylistically. my personal favourite of the singles i think is the Out of Reach 12 on breakin, and obviously So Vain

Breakage is one of the only dnb producers I still listen to. This years album has some of the best tracks I've heard in a long time. I bought the double cd - though I have to say I don't like the stuff on the second cd.
Really like that Amit album too.

The Breakage album was played constantly in my car over the summer...wicked stuff. Really keen to hear the new material but MySpaz player is being gash.

holy shit.

i say again: holy shit.

two fantastic, incredible, tunes.

(this too shall pass still gets caned by me, prophecy and trance too, but i think you can't test an all-breakage mix that was going around a while ago: so vain into so mars. makes me moist every time.)
