You can't. You're going from a non-lossy format to a lossy one.
Just use a nice high bitrate. Everybody in choonland seems to have decided upon 320k.
Just go with that, don't stick your neck out and keep facing forward...

How do you get -q 0? The highest I can get is -q 2pshtt wrote:lame -b 320 -m s -q 0

Same, highly recommended. Grab that and the latest LAME encoder from http://lame.sourceforge.net and off you go.Deadly Habit wrote:razorlame is my choice of a frontend
Stay far away from VBR too.
Other than that I use the built in encoder in Sound Forge which is also good.

Audacity uses Lame as well. It is free so it is worth installing imo.
