Benga the mc?

I saw Benga yesterday @ vooruit in Ghent (Belgium).
Incredible set!!
Before Benga, it was Starkey that was using the decks (great set as well, maybe a bit too wobly though), and I heard an mc, but I didn't see anyone on the stage except for Benga......with a mic!
He wasn't all that bad either!
Question is: is this happening more and more lately? Is everyone going N-type style? Have you seen any other dj's doing this?
Thoughts about it?

i saw benga play somewhere this year without an mc, think it was in brum, and he was on the mic, saying "i dont need an mc" etc
he makes me laugh, fucking legend!

Yeah Benga plyed at TTC a few weeks back and Zinc was on after.
Benga just MC'd for him.
Wasn't amazin but just made it good coz it was benga.
Think he just likes to have a blast on the mic if it's available

when benga played glade last week it was his BROTHER who was the MC - they looked real similar ofcourse, benny did say a few bits but it was his brother doing the crow surfing and going mad

See problem here is some guy being an idiot on a mic through out a set is soo HORRIBLE SOUNDING.....i dont care who it is.
