Just done this remix for Chew Lips, for their track "Salt Air"
Its not one for the deep heads, more of a club thing. Built it along the lines of the Kosheen remix I did.
Different kinda sound for me, getting back into the swing of production again, got a couple more mixes in the works one for Hadouken starting this week.
Hope you enjoy, I know its not goin to be to everyone's taste but it went down well in Canada / USA

Yeah man noticed you putting out those mixes but aint seen any new plastician tracks in a while,
I'm likin' it a lot, vocals fit really well
1 thing I'd do different if I were doing this is change that triplet wobble or drop it altogether, I think the song is deeper than that, the bit at 2:20 to me is what the drop should be
cheers

Heard you drop it live, good shit man. I think it goes well with the original. Deep lyrics, I think some more deep pad chords would fit nicely.

I know this is the single most annoying thing any artist can hear, but I much preferred your old stuff. E.g. this is SICK -

It's good, the vocals are haunting, but the only thing is a felt like the vocals were overtaking everything but then falling into place, apart from that it's good man, nice one.

horses for courses.
I also like that track, but i have always been evolving my sound - that track was produced nearly 7 years ago - i never even used synths back then, that entire track including the bassline is made with samples. The introduction of synths to my tracks led me to discover chords etc. which had a big change in my style.
a lot of people will prefer my older stuff - its hugely different to the stuff i make now but still fits the same blueprint - dark, bassy grime & dubstep influenced music built for big systems.
the same way that in five years time, a lot of people will prefer the stuff i'm making now to what i am making then.
i don't mind that you prefer that stuff, a lot of people do

that's a great tune
i loved the kosheen remix, this is completely different though - and if anything i like it more! the kick is brilliant it carries the tune so well, vocal works great (not too loud or anything) good synths
if you do release this can you put a sick tune on the flip like you did with Export? i've never heard anyone else ever play that but it's brilliant, proper neck-crack snare

plasticman its just not GULLY though is it!?
the take that tune 'i want you back' comes to mind...
big up the production though sounds tight!!... more emphatic than the origional

I was going for Relight My Fire but got a bit sidetracked halfway and ended up somewhere in the region of "Everybody" by Backstreet Boys.
