Wikipedia is claiming 'hip-hop artists like Xzibit have also added their vocals to dubstep instrumental tracks for an upcoming mixtape "Cashmere Agency Presents Mr Grustle & Tha Russian Dubstep LA Embrace The Renaissance Vol.1 Mixed by Dj Plastician."
Recently, rappers Lil' Wayne and producer Pharrell Williams recently collaborated over what seems to be a Dubstep-influenced track called "Yes"'
Has anyone got any information on these tracks. Surely just another Snoop Dogg Millionaire?

It does say that they have added their vocals to certain tracks on a mixtape mixed by plastician. That doesn't mean that they are going to be rapping over the top of plastician tracks does it? Surely not?
You can't always believe what wikipedia has got to say though can you..

i just don't really see US Hip-Hop and Dubstep going together, it just seems like two contradicting ideas. Ones by definition 'underground' and the other commercial. The american voice just doesnt really fit. But maybe X to the Z and Plastician can prove me wrong. I hope they can...

don't be fastidious, obviously there is hip hop that isn't commercial. that wasn't what i meant. the Xzibit style of hiphop, and the majority of US hiphop is far more commercial than dubstep so i just dont think they compliment each other. idiot

obviously it was what you meant because you said hip hop was by definition commercial
don't write off shit that hasn't even happened yet.

i'm not writing off anything, i said i don't think the two styles will compliment each other but i hope plastician proves me wrong. i don't think that can be classed as writing anything off, having an opinion and writing things off are two completely different things mate...
