When the poster said "dubstep is grime made properly", doesn't that just mean that the snare sounds in grime are usually a bit weedy and sound like they're straight off an 80's drum machine? From that small difference a whole world of arguments is made.

I love grime. Some of my top tunes in the last 5 years have been from the late garage, early grime scene.

Been to dmz?
I generally don't like much grime, but obviously there are good tunes, but i have yet to hear a decent grime mc lyrically. The scene has potential for me, something originated from england with a DIY attitude is obviously appealing but the output hasn't struck me yet.

Look at what pow did in romford.
They played that tune, and people got so hype they had to shut down the club for the night.
Name a dubstep tune that has done that.

yeah.
there definetely should be more fighting at dubstep raves.
I got the impression it was a case of too much energy in the crowd rather than fighting, but I may be wrong.
I think grime is a great genre and is very under rated. Esp the early stuff which pioneered the scene.

at the time dere was bare hype on this, the closest dubstep got was probly request line which stunned a few when it dropped at grime and dubstep raves.

closest dubstep has to offer for energy is probably loefah's output, which to be fair, does get people very very hype
but i think there is definate truth in the idea that grime has more explosive energy than dubstep, but obviously thats not the be all and end all. but it takes us back to the central point - to say grime is just dubstep made badly is stoopid

Loefah. . energy??? You're mad. I can't even believe those two words are in the same sentence. Skream provides the most energy in halfstep dubstep by miles.

hahah.
the difference between hype in grime and dubstep = when a big grime tune drops u get thrown all around the gaff. all jumping on each other pushing and pulling..some bird ends up on the floor..and u end up with a big baggy neck on your new top.
when a big dub step tune drops u get the crowd clapping and screaming for a rewind. hands in the air, nice big round of applause. and u get to wear your new top again. .. cuddles all around.
moral of the story is u dont need to be jumping on eachother to show ur love 4 big riddems.
