kinda agree with that though... still looking forward to see how it turns outMoore criticized the project, calling it "completely shameless", and stated he was not interested in monetary compensation, but rather “What I want is for this not to happen.”[6] Moore elaborated, "What the comics industry has effectively said is, 'Yes, this was the only book that made us briefly special and that was because it wasn't like all the other books.' Watchmen was something that stood on its own and it had the integrity of a literary work. What they've decided now is, 'So, let's change it to a regular comic that can run indefinitely and have spin-offs.' and 'Let's make it as unexceptional as possible.' Like I say, they're doing this because they haven't got any other choices left, evidently."
Sandman is awesome! I've only read Preludes and Nocturnes. Planning on buying the absolute editions.hayze99 wrote:The new Marvel bits are actually pretty good - started reading the Grifter and Resurrection Man and they were alright.
Obvious choice -

Yeah, i agree with Moore and i wasn't expecting such a positive reaction! Although, if it's good, no reason not to read it.dfaultuzr wrote:kinda agree with that though... still looking forward to see how it turns outMoore criticized the project, calling it "completely shameless", and stated he was not interested in monetary compensation, but rather “What I want is for this not to happen.”[6] Moore elaborated, "What the comics industry has effectively said is, 'Yes, this was the only book that made us briefly special and that was because it wasn't like all the other books.' Yeah, if he's not involved I can safely say it will be shit.dfaultuzr wrote:well the thing is, if you think of it, what makes watchmen what it is is moore's writing. if he's not involved in the project at all, its pretty much corporate funded fan fiction...
