This might be my favorite movie now. I need to watch it again. Blown away by the range it made me feel.
great film. Maybe slightly pretentious, but i think it gets away with it....(its hard not to be pretentious when the subject of your film is the meaning of life)

'John Dies at the End'
Something so random and bizarre about this film that I loved it.
Dont watch the trailer, makes it look like shit. Maybe it is but I liked it. A lot...

a crazy film about an undertaker company very particular sense of humor for 1965, nothing to do with the guileless humor of old comedies.

I used to watch the Monkees all the time as a kid...
But I could never remember exactly what happened...
Only that they kept getting int zany predicaments - and that I really liked the show...
Well - I watched their movie last night - Head ....and boy does that explain some things
It was really great - especially considering it's childrens programming - I suggest it

Yeah great film, one that requires rewatching a few times to get all the subtlties, seen its three times and each time noticed something new in it, cannot recommend enough
XXY: Argentian film about a 15 year old intersex person, how they and their family cope with their condition and how they find their gender identity on their own terms. Really interesting film, also it stars the lovely Ines Efron <3
also inb4 "trust Jim to recommend a film about gender identity" etc

Watched "Hunger" the other day, based on the Bobby Sands fuckeries. Never really seen anybody mention it before. Good ass film.

Fassbender's physical transformation in Hunger is on par with Christian Bale in the machinist

Yeah he's getting noticed a lot. I like his collaborations with Steve McQueen the best, the guy gives him very interesting roles (Hunger, Shame,...) 12 years a slave is gonna be good. If you haven't seen Fish Tank he's good in that one too. Some of his films I care less for (Prometheus, Centurion lol) but overall he's doing good stuff. He's also gonna play Altair in the Assassin's creed movie (let's see how that goes ) and star in a new Macbeth film production (as Macbeth)

An Assassin's Creed movie based on the first one COULD be really good. It's gonna be really bad though.

Well Fassbender's co-producing the project too, which means he will have his say in where the film goes. So you never know, there's a small chance... The guy who wrote Minority Report has been hired as screenwriter, apparently

Human nature
This film is criminally underrated.
Kaufman script, Gondry directing a hilarious Tim Robbins, Rhys Ifans and the little guy from 'dragon days of our lives'. .. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0219822/
