Oh no dude, thats not what I was saying - this was an excellent post if only to highlight Skream to what kicked off over their. My (very loose) point was that both threads have ended up getting heated and generating pointless replies. (mine included I guess...)
If I'm honest I'm into too much music to start comparing anything to anything - its all good music to me but "The Scene" of any genre needs to be considered too when we talk about the dance, vibes etc. I find these conversations interesting until it turns into "people who don't like garage can fuck off" (as quoted from this board)
Was great to hear the podcast too and will be subscribing to the rest of them.

I can see why people don't like dubstep. My girlfriend loves dnb but dubstep puts her to sleep.
I love dnb and dubstep along with many other types of music. Listening to just one genre is stupid.

I have my roots in drum 'n bass when it comes to dj'ing and producing,
there's some great dnb around, some great labels that make waves,
cool promotors that throw wicked nights with a great atmosphere, but
since i'm a lover of music in general i buy lots of other styles, anything
that rocks my boat whether its dnb, dubstep, techno, house, electronics,
whatever you wanna call it - and I can tell you one thing - I havent
been as excited about whats being released in all these genres in years!
I'm sure I could make a CD for Skream with new dnb that he would love
to bits! I do understand though where he's coming from with his
comments, especially if you look at the state of dnb in LONDON, and a
few other places in the UK, where the main room dnb has turned into
some kind of 16year old e'd up sausage thug fest. I think this whole
discussion (and the one on DOA) is a storm in a teacup, I was more
shocked that Gilles Peterson jumped on the dubstep wagon than of
what Skream said about dnb lol! Nice podcast though and some good
tunes! big up
