Lol I am actually ridiculously deaf eared from standing in fornt of speakers, so if anyone requests a track from me while the monitors are blaring I usually 9 times out of ten can't hear them anywayclifford_- wrote:I tend to just ignore people like i cant hear em.

I don't mind people requesting awful tracks as long as they can take no for an answer. When they start trying to argue when you say no that's when it's really fucking annoying.

Usually followed up with "Call yourself a DJ!" when you don't have Lady Gaga or Beyonce with you.
Once had someone ask me for "something we don't have to be on drugs to enjoy". I pointed at the full capacity main room dancefloor in front of me and advised her that if everyone on it was indeed on drugs, then maybe she should think more carefully about what sort of establishments she frequented.

this is a great topic and all but it makes me wonder, what kind of venues do you people play on? are you all professional DJ's that play actual gigs in random pubs and get paid or do people just stumble in on dubstep events and complain about the music cause that's weird

there is a large amount of people who just want to party on the weekend. so it's enough information for them that it's a party where "electronic music" will be played. not everyone cares so much about music or knows each genre...topmo3 wrote:or do people just stumble in on dubstep events and complain about the music
