this thread has made me laugh a bit still - but on a serious note, some people just need to DO THEIR RESEARCH then some of these things wouldn't happen

Not entirely on topic but... I opened my set with Barry White - Never, Never Gonna Give you up and some girl came up to me half way through it and asked if I could play something she could dance to.

Somebody requested Disko Rekah last night, I was surprised, what with it being a massive student night.
When my set finished and the DnB guy took over, I stood in the booth for a bit and people kept asking me to play Gold Dust by DJ Fresh, and I wasn't even playing.
If you look down and bop your head alot and really make it look like you have zero time to talk to anyone, you don't get crappy requests though I find.

At the last mindstep (those who don't know, its a proper eyes down and good vibes night) someone asked me for something with "filthy wobbles" in it..
I just looked at them so confused.

I think the lesson to be learnt from this thread is avoid playing house parties!

this has happened enough times that I made a tune called 'something we can dance to' just in case it happens again. Then I can fulfill the request without stopping the dubstep set!
on the best requests note, i always enjoy getting bass cannon or Cinema (Skrillex remix) requested cause both are great tunes that always go off
however, why can't some random hot girl wander up to the decks and request some Jakes, The Aliens, Coki, Widdler, Stinkahbell, Cookie Monsta, Funtcase, etc?
I would instantly fall in love especially if it was those first 2

I remember playing this little night a couple years back when dubstep was nothing down on the Isle of Wight. Some guy came up to me and was like "Dude, do you have Rotten by Kulture?", I was just like "YES!", I hadn't thought about that tune in ages since then.
