Was too ill to go out yesterday so I just made this tune instead (Wiibowling on my virb), not sure if I should put more into it or just move onto the next one, itching to make a jungle or hip hop tune atm actually..

No bass or anything and on the drop the chords are tempory (the ones out of scale , since I have no music theory, its a matter of finding what works :x If people can help on the chords would be great.. the first one is..
D - F - A.. So what "could" I do for chord progression?

Very organic sounding, liking the feel of it.

Nice back bone, sounds a bit 'droney' .... get more hats in to create movement and some more stabs of colour to perk it up (if thats where your trying to take it)

Loads of red wine and an urge to do something different than what we usually do
Nice feel to this piece, the break needs eq'ing and/or dropping into the mix bit better imo, bring that bass through a bit more (edit: maybe not, sounds like it panned right perhaps, only noticed as im on headphones)

Thanks for the support man! :)

I'm unlikely to take it any further tbh, but I may do something similar.

Before I did this, I dragged five random mp3's into Reaper, lined them all up and bounced the result. Next I rexed it and imported it into Reason. There I just drew in random notes on the sequencer and got some pretty cool glitchy rhythmic results! :)

DFA is Dm chord. You can keep D as root and roll with D minor scale (DEFGAA#C). Or use G minor scale (GAA#CDD#F). Or A minor (ABCDEFG).

Prefer the synth pattern change after the intro type bit, but is more of a house beat surely!?

Edit: Loop that is bigger in comparison
Jst the melody loop?

Little loop
Another variation, nice sound, develop it

The part where the gate changes sync? Yeah it's a house beat, just a drum loop from fl but I plan on adding some drums after I've ironed everything out and am working in audio. Will end up will lots of chopping and changing and won't be so house-like if I finish it.
I like the feel of this track, very laid back and chilled out. The sound right at the start (one that sounds like a vocal-pad) reminds me of an electronica track that came free with future music/computer music awhile ago that I was impressed with. What are you planning on doing with it, where are you taking it etc

I need to add a sub to it still, and work on mixing it better, but some input would be good. Not sure if I am completely wasting my time with it or not. track is called Mind Funk. I like it because it is odd & out of sync, but not sure if it's just me.

I like the sounds alot, I produce and mix house music too, liked where it could go, get some percussion and hats for movement and some complimentary synth bits, mess to your hearts content. :)

Thanks for your comments.
The track needs a bit of beef IMO and the synth is a VST from a Korg collection pack ;)

That will be a dope tune. It has a chilled, mid nineties progressive feel to it. The elements all seem to sit very nicely together. Good work.
