guys this forum doesnt work if you dont feedback others tracks before posting your own!!!
i posted feedback so im once again requesting feedback
cheers
I like the beats a lot, really rolling, though i think a little loud on the hats. The dreamy synth is nice but I'd ad something more to spice it up. The bassline i'd filter the lowends and replace it by a pure sine sub, caus now I think it's taking up all the headroom. The vocal sample is a bit repetitive, also for the drops the could kick in a bit harder, they slide in imo, that's a quesiton of taste.
Can't judge the mixdown, lack of monitors :D
thanks man, how do you mean kick harder? and how would i achieve this?

I mean kick in harder, and correct me if I'm wrong but the bass line starts a count after the beat at the first drop, but that's a question of taste. And I'd effect the vocal a bit, tapestops, reverb, beatrepeat etc, caus I think it's a bit flabby.

The buildup/drop is lovely sounding but in terms of timing feels a little awkward to me. I can't quite put my finger on it but the kick sounds like it wants to come in a beat later. Try breaking down to to silence for a beat before the kick/bassline come in? Just an idea.

Here's one of mine for anyone to listen to if they feel like. It's barely dubstep admittedly but its still good fun I think.

There actually isn't that much sub in it. The slow mid range wobble, is a bit loud to. I've noticed headphones always make things sound like theres more bass and more reverb, or was it less reverb?. Thats unless your using those tiny ones

Classify this loop I've been working on. All sounds were tracked by myself playing them on the keyboard to click track, not drawn in. I then went back and tracked mute switches to add to the groove more along with automation. I also used some brass on this track, which I normally do not do.

Really cool sound you've got there. Sort of timbaland-influenced dubstep I guess? Feels like it would sound cool with a vocal. In any case it needs some heavy subs to get things really going. The kick punches nicely but the whole thing feels a bit un-planted in the absence of some really heavy bass.

my monitors bang the sub out, you just shake... then i listne to the track on some (good) hifi piece and the track sounds rubbish... :( this makes me really mad.
anyway: like your chune... heavy snare! luv' it.
may need some heavier drops, also some hihats giving it some more drive.. rest is pretty good!

here just a some samples of some beats and basses of the next chune... what do you think?
unmastered... kick sounds compared to the non-wave-version not really good. dunno why there is a loss of quality when i convert into wave (although, high quality)

sounds pretty good man, just the volume needs turning up a bit, keep your sub bass at that level but basically turn up eveything else.
Also got a new clip up:

thank you mate.. so, did I get you right: not turning up the master volume, but every single line? (kick, snare, wobble, highhat....)

like your lil sample. love that very broken beat :o maybe it's because i'm not in front of my monitors, but i think you have to work on your sub... push it! :D

big up

Timbaland, somebody else mentioned that to me. I went through a trance faze in the late 90's, so that's prob where that comes from. I will be working with an MC on an upcoming release for 2010 and I am working on sounds and what not. With a better mix I can bring out the bass more, or maybe I can switch it up a bit.
