Save for the odd bit of cash in hand or graphics commission, I've being unemployed for over two years now....

I've never felt more proactive and in control of my life! I have so many plans there isn't physically enough time in the day to work on them all.

Being unemployed is a blessing if you are motivated and have ideas. If you have children then understandably they take first priority.

Good up to a point... The point when the loan companies want their money back and you can't afford to both pay them and eat... :(

Learning is an ongoing thing, which hopefully happens regardless of employment. I pity people who become stuck in a rut in their work, simply because they never developed their own interests and skills in self directed learning.

As you may have read from my other thread about going to London, I'm at a pretty unsettled point in my life right now. But with so many ideas and the motivation to see them all through regardless of employment, I'm going to be the guy with the dream job! :)

Work out what interests you, and maybe look around your community to see what else can be done to help people. Work out your skills, and work out what skills you'd like to develop. Then find ways of working on projects that develop both your inner self and your practical skills...! :)

bad news ket. but i like your attitude.

i actually chose to take a layoff coming up im april. crazy decision but i dont like my job and i want to change careers anyway so im looking at it as a win.
So im moving to Brooklyn. Im gunna become a teacher. probably go back to school and avoid the workforce for a minute. got severance and some cash saved up so im good for a little while but not having income is scary as fuck. More Brap time will be awesome but i know i cant just put life on hold to make tunes either. its a fine line we walk.
