I think if the youth of China are able to circumnavigate these problems with little to no consequence, we won't have a problem either. Stop getting so hyped up, clearly the main point of this law is to stop people stealing mp3s/dvds/games etc...,
but there are always ways around these things, as clever as people are computers are still pretty stupid.

It is, that's true. The problem is, once it's law, it can be misused. There really isn't a big enough threat to society from people pirating music and movies to warrant giving up any freedoms, no matter how small on the Internet. It's a really bad precident to set.
The free Internet has been a massive force for good around the world, spreading information and education all over the place... and the lack of censorship has been massively important... the worry is that with one law follows many and whilst copyright infringement is the "baddie" of today, it might be terrorist websites tomorrow and who knows what after.
I'm not saying that anyone proposing this now is planning that sort of thing... but there really is no need to put this through. It's a law designed to appease out of date media companies who are desperately trying to hold on to an archaic way of doing business - music will be better off with a free Internet and less rich bastards suing bloggers.

More's the case you can stand back and laugh at it because it's lib dems and they're as much of a joke as veritas. Just a bunch of rich clowns in a suit chasing smoke in a gale.

As much of a joke as Veritas, who's best election performance is a staggering
6% of the popular vote in Erewash, Derbyshire when the Lib Dems poll over 20% of the popular vote nationally and have 63 MPs?
Yeah.... right. The constant doing down of the Lib Dems is really quite pathetic. A survey before the last election showed that if everyone who didn't vote Lib Dem because "It was a waste of time" actually voted for them, they'd be in power.
Can't can't can't... the British are fucking wonderful sometimes.

Anyone got any advice on tactical voting? For the first time in my life I will be voting in a seat that has been held by the Tory scum since 1992 (SHUDDER). The opposition vote is split between Labour and the Lib Dems with neither looking like a serious contender unless the other drops out (I've thought about killing either one of them but apparently there are plenty more where they came from).
My MP is Conservative frontbencher Liam Fox. How do I get rid of him?

Is that Woodspring then? We were Weston-Super-Mare in Winscombe, which was a bit easier to swing to the Lib Dems (though I think it's Tory at the moment, they nicked it off Brian Cotter who's a lovely bloke with a pink house).
I'm not sure he's that ejectable, Fox is a bit of a golden boy for the Tories now, isn't he?
Lib Dems probably stand more chance than Labour round there... you and Mrs Bill need to go burning Tory signs around farmland!

Yeah,
Woodspring. What sort of name is that for a constituency? I’ve been Southampton Test, Bristol South and Bristol East (all of them sensible-ish names for constituencies) and now I live in Nutsack Forest with Liam Fox and Rupert the sodding Bear.
Please, Liberals and Labours. Put down your weapons. Think of our children!

This just in:

"Razzall and Clement-Jones [withdrew] their amendment and entered a new one, jointly with the Tory Lords, that was specifically aimed at eliminating "cyber-lockers" (also called "web lockers") – services like Google Docs, YouSendIt, RapidShare and so on – that allow users to upload files that are too big to be attached to email, and send a private download URL to the recipient instead."
So- in addition to favoring censorship at the behest of their corporate masters, they now want to eliminate THE VERY METHOD WE USE AROUND HERE TO RUN THE DSF SAMPLEPACK CONTESTS, etc.
I'm used to getting mad about my own country's politicians and their stupidity, but now I'm fucking angry as hell at these British fucktards. Gunpowder Treason indeed...

never mentioned their popularity but it's quite telling that you assumed that's what i meant. You're also assuming that everyone who didn't vote for them would actually vote for them, coupled with the fact stats can be manipulated or contrived in a way that seem fit for their purpose
Again, very telling you thought i meant their popularity. Quite naive.

Doesn't a political party being a "joke" imply that they hold no chance of ever gaining any power - i.e. they're not very popular?
So, if you weren't talking about popularity or election/poll results why exactly are they "as much of a joke as Veritas" to you? Because they're "rich clowns in suits"? What does that even mean?

no offence kay, but the answer is: because only fools buy doctrines and politics, the only doctrine there is for real is spelled "money + power", the rest is smokescreens for the masses, same as religions. they all fuck your kids and steal your money while you're busy reading their books and finding yourself on that stupid grid tr0ysky posted here earlier
