I don't know if it's too wacky an idea with bandwidth etc in mind but DSF Radio sounds good... As many DJ's as possible on as often as possible, then there's no worries about time slots as such and there's plenty of movement between different styles of Dubstep and there's always the opportunity to just log in and kick up whenever you feel like it...

Would be nice if the DJ's were responsible for finding the tracks they liked or they were allowed to set themselves up a thread to say 'chuck your tracks in here for me to play and I will contact you if I like them. Eg. Soundclouds and Youtubes.

But no doubt this would scare the mods too much

I refuse too accept that the people I chat with on here are total losers, lol, surely you guys leave the house on weekends, considering the 8 hour timezone stretch, Im assuming that on weekends, at 8pm, 60% of the listeners are out, chillin, cause there in the UK, its 8 on a friday/saturday, n there headin out too club or hang or get schwasted, same as we do...

Sunday perhaps? I just grabbed wednesday because thats when our IRC client will be stable, lol. DSF Monday? IDK...

Weekends seem off though, cause its either make cali wake up at like 8 in the morning on a weekend, or write the UK off cause there out bein social.

I'm really liking Wednesdays though, I listen to Whistla on sub on a Tuesday at 8pm GMT and always manage to lock in, so the same on a Wednesday would still be very accessible for me

Well, Im gonna talk too mills tonight about integrating this dropbox I have in live with it, so maybe we can do live tune drops during the shows, straight too the server n then i.e. straight too the DJ...

Bandwidth, as of right now though, I why we're limitng this concept too a once a week deal for now n gonna be tight with our Djs schedulin...

The DJs Ive confirmed, Im gonna message you guys tonight with your login credentials and a temp password you can keep/fuck with, idc... Youll be able too set your display name n shit n get the feel of how the console works...

Any volunteers to go on first this then? I know whos hit me up, but, anyone gonna step up real quick n notch 'First DSF Streaming Session' under there belt?

And Im using 3 of you who showed interest as a virtual coin toss as too which day of the week we use, soon as you all reply to my seemingy nonsense question, we'll know what day its on.

I am down to dj but the next couple of weeks are going to be nutty for me as I am going to be in texas, but after that I will be open to help out

Why do a mini? Id be more then happy too book you up for a live/full though... if your thinking mini mix because you wanna play all your own dubs, youd probably be better just gettin em into the setlists...

So yeah yeah childish-rec is a blog and all, but I'm going to make some subdomains which will include radio.childish-rec.com , irc.childish-rec.com, etc. It would be awesome to merge with DSF and have some members help me run this shizznit. Basic and I have been configuring the server and I also just installed a pretty pimpin DJ Panel that includes a viewable timetable for visitors/listeners. The finished layout will include a shoutbox and shoutcast stats via ajax. ALSO, I'm trying to implement a rating system in which we can vote (star rating?) on each set!

A good example of what I'm goin for is @ torrentech.org. I'll keep you guys updated and message me or basica for more info!

Oh and any recommendations would be nice! I would like to hear what you guys want from this.

agreed... ;D We could eventually make this bi-weekly or more the server can take it! And for the chat, as of now I'm just using a registered channel on p2p-net 'till the shows start. We'll have all the listeners and the DJ in the chat so people can request songs, get track ID's, etc. Should be fun and make sure you get to me or Basic about getting a timeslot.
