I know that's what it's about. Episodes 25+26 aren't canon though nor are they how the creators wanted.

i don't know anything about the details, but the whole point is shinji achieves enlightenment. watch the intro with all the kabbalah symbols filling the screen.

this is hermetic kabbalah. in a sense, it is God communicating directly to you. it's you being amnesiac and then tattoiing shit on yourself to remember.

Seen. I personally prefer End of Evangelion over episodes 25 and 26. Shinji still achieves enlightenment (in a way), but it's actually well executed and not just a bunch of squiggly lines with a voice over.

i dunno i think this don't watch the tv shit, watch the REAL ending stuff is bogus. the tv version is the real. somebody probably got mad at how clearly they spelled it out and they went back and tried to change it.
