Way to miss the point. Some real stupid responses in here basically, you know where I was coming from.
The likelihood is my mother will die of cancer, having smoked most her life, but that doesn't change my point. Overpopulation IS the biggest threat to modern civilisation and this will vastly worsen it, what can't you understand about that?
No I'm not saying your mates should all die of cancer, don't be a fool. I even said 'the greater good', think outside your immediate existence, there are people suffering far worse than cancer, largely to do with this flux of human life.

the better leaders and general wisdom and guidance since the average length of a persons life has been increasing as technology and medicine improves
because it seems to me just in my short time on the earth and history that things are just as fucked as the generation before, as the generation before, ad nauseum

as this is all hypothetical i'll give you a hypothetical example:
instead of dying at age 5 from lymphoma a child never has to go through chemo and instead grows up a normal kid, gets a PhD and develops a strain of yam that has more protein than any meat and all nine amino acids, solving world hunger.

basic schooling is idiotic. i can learn more in a day on the internet than in a semester at public school.

yea if you have the drive for knowledge, we're talking the general populace here, the ones who feel the need to have a piece of paper saying how smart and qualified for a job they are and need to pay someone to motivate them to read a book.

the need for homgenized curriculum is obsolete. you're applying your socialization to a new paradigm

homogenized
as a society the needs of the many outweigh the few as much as people love to be egocentric

you're equating homgenization with meeting the needs of the many, which is completely illogical

homogenization
a standard of education for the many is something i believe is a fundamental right and the pursuit of a higher education by those who want it shouldn't be based on financial situation which applies to the needs of the many when thinking in terms of a society, otherwise you end up with a perpetual caste system like we have now where it's an uphill struggle to exceed the status you're born into.

fuckin hell some people dont half chat some shit. your over thinking everything.
at the end of the day if pure empathy for a cancer patient isnt enough for you to hope for a cure then your one heartless individual.
